Inquiry into the Electoral Amendment Bill 2025 (62 of 2025)
On 18 August 2026 the House of Assembly resolved the following:
The Electoral Amendment Bill 2025 (No. 62) be referred to the Joint Standing Committee on Electoral Matters for inquiry and report thereon.

On 25 August 2026 the Committee received and noted the referral from the House of Assembly. It was also formally resolved that the work the Committee had commenced on a former version of the Bill, the Electoral Amendment Bill 2024 (No. 25 of 2024), be transferred to the current Inquiry for consideration.
